Perfect Storm

From my last post my 13 followers know that we have 2 Merlin Lites getting finished.

One Merlin Lite has the Vittorazi Cosmos. The 2nd has the Polini 260. Both are basically done, but neither can be flown. Our Czech factory failed to ship the props and EMS/controllers. And they still have not yet shipped these missing parts for reasons I cannot understand. I have already sent my son, who lives in Prague, by train to check these parts and get more promises. Looks like I hafta go myself. Again.

There are plenty of props for these engines in the USA, but they are all pusher configuration for the PPG market. I have ordered a 2nd set of props from E-Prop along with a PPG EMS. They are in transit now and we should be flying soon. Then I will have more video and data to share.

The perfect storm I refer to is the combination of a few years of R&D for the Vtwin installation on the Merlin. The few years of the dual engine installations on the Merlin Lite, plus, the electric power development, and the few years of creating new technology for the DoW, and waiting for the subsequent military contracts.

We have a lot of Merlins stacked up waiting on registrations, test flights, and delivery.

We have these 2 Merlin Lites plus a dozen more in Czech waiting for the final engine choice, finishing, and delivering. 4 more are getting close to shipping.

Aeromarine’s limited resources are stretched thin. And this is compounded by the customers that cancelled their orders and want their deposits back. Some, like those waiting for their aircraft, are getting impatient. But there is not much I can do about it besides get aircraft shipped and cash flow going.

I am also running out of patience with the slow and incomplete deliveries from our Czech partner. This just adds to the frustration. I do, however, have a plan: Reshoring. That means bringing all production to the USA. That would solve everything. But it requires outside capital. We need to build a new factory ASAP. We have:

For our customers: We are shipping aircraft. Our build center in Mobile, AL is packed with aircraft. They are worth the wait. For the customers that cancelled their orders. Your continued patience is appreciated. New USA-based factory or not, Aeromarine’s finances will improve. We have the orders and inventory. Just gotta get r done.
